ABOUT

STORY

Hi, I am Dr. Omileye.  I had a vision to start an award that honored those contributing to building a mindful Earth. My husband  Chief Olu Derrick Lewis said, "yes, I am on board".  Many years ago, the state of the waters moved us to begin the International Humanity4Water Awards - given to those  such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Captain Paul Watson, Rev Desmond Tutu.

HONOR

This  award recognizes that the individual and Earth are connected. It aims to honor those who are working to mindfully care for our Earth, by  introducing mindful living to communities, which nurtures a sense of mindful stewardship, compassion, equity, oneness, and care. We specifically aim to honor who those who show us courage and small  acts make big changes.

INTEGRATE

As part of the award we recognize when we change ourselves, we change our world. Therefore, we aim to have programs and  partnerships that introduce mindfulness and wellness into vulnerable  communities, whose needs often go unnoticed.  Dr. Omileye started what is now called, The Mindful Earth Acupuncture and Wellness Pilot 501c  Program for BIPOC Women and children.

MINDFUL EARTH ACUPUNCTURE & WELLNESS

FOR BIPOC WOMEN AND KIDS

I started Mindful Earth Acupuncture & Wellness Pilot Program for BIPOC Woman and Children, when I was a  student acupuncture student. I knew three consecutive  acupuncture treatments  could pull a client back from the edge of stress, but I knew such treatments were often not affordable  to women and children who looked like me.
