A 10 day journey through Ghana refresh our mind - body - soul and collective consciousness through the sacred power of  water. 

We will travel from Accra,   Aburi,  and Cape Coast

Meet your retreat teachers

Dr. Omileye Achikeobi-Lewis, is known fondly as Dr. Omi or Omi. Her name means "water  gives me joy, honor, and dignity" and her middle name "Ezolaagbo" means  "one who returns the lineage home". Her healing work is inspired by the spirit of water, Earth, and returning communities and individuals home to themselves. She is the author and illustrator of children's yoga book My Heart Flies Open, published by North Atlantic Books,  and  awarded the Kirkus Starred Review. She is also the author of the book Beautiful Waters, and Seven Principles of Wellness.  As a an author, artist, healer, trauma-focused counselor, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and  Doctor of Daoist  Classical Chinese Medicine, acupuncture and herbs, she enjoys giving back to underserved communities (especially women and children), and doing ceremonies for Water and Earth healing, along with deep transformational epigenetic trauma work which shifts individual and collective consciousness.  Dr. Omi is an African-Caribbean Fifth Generation Vision Keeper, and Equity Facilitator. and also Artist in Residence for Asheville City School Foundation TAPAAS.   A few years ago her passion and work with the waters was recognized by receiving an  invitation to attend the United Nations to help form GIWA (Global Interfaith WASH Alliance).   She is the co- founder of the former international  Humanity4Water awards. She is an initiated as an Osun Priestess, and has received initiations from  other elders from traditional societies around the world.

Olu Derrick Lewis, is a gifted IT Project Manager and consultant who has over thirty years of working in corporate America. He now fulfill his dream by helping none profits who are committed to restoring communities and social justice.  He  consults for Racial Justice Coalition based in Asheville, and Unleash the Brilliance for whom he is the Chair. He also supports organizations such as United Way.  Olu Derrick Lewis, is an initiated priest of Ifa, and was recognized as  Chief. in the ancient traditions of Nigeria.  He loves trees, land, and waters.
